The People’s Trust is a privately-funded Anglo-Hellenic initiative operating as a Not-for-Profit in Greece that supports start-ups and small, existing businesses.
We offer micro-funding of up to €10,000 and free of charge business development services.
We provide the groundwork needed for young Greek businesses to flourish.
The mission of The People’s Trust is to relieve unemployment in Greece through entrepreneurship. Our organization empowers tomorrow’s entrepreneurs with the tools and skills they need to turn their ideas into thriving businesses.
The People’s Trust operates in Greece to:
- Promote new job creation through entrepreneurship
- Encourage a culture of entrepreneurship
- Inject cash directly into the economy
The People’s Trust will back existing businesses and start-ups, attempting to identify individuals and sectors where the impact on employment and the real economy is visible and meaningful. We aim to relieve unemployment, and give the Greek economy a practical and direct boost.
AFI is a Civil-Law Non-Profit Company and its founding partners are Action Aid Hellas and ADIE. AFI provides access to microcredit to those who have a business idea or project, but are not able to find access to the necessary funds. At the same time, it supports these businesses by providing free training and support.
Ashoka is the world's leading non-profit, non-governmental organisation for social entrepreneurship and changemaking. Over the last 35 years, Ashoka has elected over 3,100 leading Ashoka Fellows -men and women social entrepreneurs with systems changing solutions to some of the world's most critical social problems.
The PRAKSIS Business Coaching Center functions as a support center for selected candidates, offering training, coaching and consulting in order to help people materialize their entrepreneurial goals. The program provides comprehensive practical training and preparation so that candidates can draw up a viable business plan and ensure in the best way possible the sustainability of their business.

Mindspace is a nonprofit organization founded in 2015 by students and recent graduates who want to see more ideas proceed from the academic environment to serve society, instead of staying trapped in the university. At Mindspace Lab, every student can find the necessary equipment and space in order to work on the prototype of their idea. This space is located inside the NTUA campus. Mindspace also organizes free-to-attend workshops and other activities such as Mindspace Challenge to equip students with practical tech, business and soft skills in order to turn their idea into a reality.
The NBG Business Seeds program includes actions showcasing and promoting cutting-edge business ideas and projects, while providing also training and mentoring, infrastructures, networks and funding. It is a holistic program that places emphasis on both the development of ideas at the level of angel financing and support for seed enterprises, series A & B businesses and SMEs with a significant turnover. Various organizations, institutions and corporations are collaborating in the program, offering services free of charge, including the Athens University of Economics & Business, the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV), Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Census, The People’s Trust, Grant Thornton, Watson Farley & Williams, Endeavor Greece, the IATI and the Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce.
The Found.ation is one of the largest business entities in the hospitality and the promotion of startup technology companies in the wider region of SE Europe. More than 85 startups have effectively utilized the facilities and the organized business environment that Found.ation provides. The organization also provides business acceleration programs and develops events and hackathons with the cooperation of major companies and leading market executives from Greece and abroad.
