Innovation, environmental consciousness and entrepreneurial instinct. These are the elements that define PHEE, a start-up that has found the way to add value to seagrass! The company’s founder, Stavros Tsompanidis, at the young age of 24, has created a dynamic business that uses the dead leaves of the vascular sea plant Posidonia Oceanica, which can be found in the Greek coasts, as raw material for the development of high quality products.
The process is environmentally friendly and a certified patent.
The idea was initiated by Stavros in 2013 when he was still a student at the University of Piraeus. The first innovative products were developed after almost two years of careful planning, research, experimentation, disappointments but also of determination. It was with the same determination that PHEE applied to The People’s Trust to fund the development of a new tool to increase its production capacity. We can only feel proud that we contribute to the company’s growth! PHEE’s dynamic also derives from its very strong team which includes Dr. Nicholas Athanassopoulos, mechanic – engineer and Head of Research & Development, and Lefteris Karampatsakis, Business Development Manager.
PHEE’s products, such as phone cases, beach rackets and gift boxes, are manufactured in the company’s production unit in Patras. They are available in several Greek stores and are also exported to foreign markets. PHEE proves that the future is here!
